TOWN HALL MEETINGS
The Kpone-Katamanso Municipal Assembly has organized town hall meetings in all the four (4) zonal councils within the Municipality. The town hall meeting was organized in accordance with section 40 of the Local Governance Act, 2016, Act 936 which establishes that, “A District Assembly shall enable the residents and stakeholders to participate in the activities of the District Assembly and the sub-District structures of the Assembly”.
The Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Michael Owusu-Amoako in his remarks explained that the purpose of the organizing the town hall meeting was to bring local Governance to the doorsteps of residents and also give them the opportunity to contribute to the development of the Municipality.
Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Samuel Okoe Amanquah delivering his welcome address
The Municipal Chief Executive: Hon Samuel Okoe Amanquah in his welcome address expressed gratitude to residents and stakeholders for attending the meeting. Hon. Samuel Okoe Amanquah in his speech encouraged residents to pay their property rate and other levies for more developmental projects in the municipality. He said that he is working tirelessly through the office of the vice president to secure the needed funds to develop the road network in the Municipality. Touching on the water issue in the municipality, Hon Amanquah said a new developmental plan would soon be introduced. He advised that, resident association in new communities should contribute funds while the Assembly adds up to connect water to their areas and also build tanks to supply water to the old communities.

In a power point presentation, the Municipal Planning Officer Madam Sakina Nyankamawu, unveiled projects undertaken and yet to commence by the Assembly. The projects included schools, hospitals, and roads. She further explained that, although the Municipal Assembly was faced with many challenges, it has managed to undertake developmental projects to enhance the quality of life of the residents.
Municipal Budget Analyst, Mr. Noble Atsu Ahadzie
The Municipal Budget Analyst, Mr. Noble Atsu Ahadzie in another presentation, explained that the Assembly achieved GH₵16,171,028.84 as against GH₵14,250,929.20 as a result of tactics put in place. Mr Ahadzi added that, resident should provide factual information to the Assembly on their properties for accurate documentation. He urged resident and stakeholders to pay their property rate and other levies for development of the various electoral areas.
