PRESENTATION OF ITEMS TO THE KPONE TRADITIONAL COUNCIL.

On Wednesday, 20th August, 2025, a special program was organized at the Kpone-Katamanso Municipal Assembly premises to present assorted items and financial support to the Kpone Traditional Council and the people of Kpone. The event formed part of activities marking the celebration of the annual Homowo Festival.  The event brought together key stakeholders such as officials of thel Assembly, representatives of the Kpone Traditional Council, community leaders, and residents of Kpone.

The program aimed at demonstrating the Municipal Assembly’s continuous support and collaboration with the Kpone Traditional Council especially during the celebration of the Homowo Festival. It also highlighted the Assembly’s commitment to preserving cultural heritage, strengthening relationships with traditional authorities, and fostering unity within the municipality.

As part of the program, various items and financial support were presented to the Traditional Council to aid in the successful celebration of the festival. Among the donated items were several gallons of cooking oil, multiple bags of rice, cartons of assorted soft drinks, cartons of Heineken, bottles of schnapps, and a cash donation. The contributions was made to ensure a smooth celebration and to symbolize the Assembly’s solidarity with the community during this significant cultural period.

During the program, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Hon. Samuel T.K Morton delivered a brief but impactful address. In his remarks, he expressed the Assembly’s appreciation to the Traditional Council for their continuous cooperation and support. He emphasized the importance of unity, peace, and togetherness in driving development within the municipality and reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to supporting cultural and traditional activities. The MCE also encouraged the people of Kpone to celebrate the Homowo Festival peacefully and responsibly.

In response, representatives of the Kpone Traditional Council expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Municipal Assembly for their continuous support. They commended the MCE and his team for their thoughtful gesture and assured the Assembly of their commitment to maintaining a cordial relationship aimed at promoting the development of Kpone and the entire municipality.
