MCE’S VISIT TO WASSCE CENTERS

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Kpone-Katamanso Municipal Assembly (KKMA) Honorable Samuel T. K. Morton has visited the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) centers at Kpone Senior High School (SHS).

The purpose of the visit was to monitor the ongoing examinations, encourage candidates and ensure that the centers were operating under appropriate conditions.

The visit took place on 25th May, 2026 in the early hours of the day.

The Municipal Director of Education; Mr. Harry Evans Arthur, Madam Sandra Kumi and other staffs accompanied Hon Morton.

During the visit, the Hon. MCE and his team toured the various examination halls within the Kpone SHS. The team interacted briefly with candidates, supervisors and invigilators. Hon. Morton advised the candidates to remain calm, avoid examination malpractices and do their best. The MCE also inspected the examination environment to ensure that, it was conducive for writing exams. Special attention was given to sitting arrangements, supervision and security presence.

The team also observed that, the examination centers were well organized and peaceful. Candidates were seated according to WAEC guidelines, invigilators were present and actively supervising the examination.

As part of the visit Hon. Morton and his team distributed exam kits comprising of mathematical set, pen, and straight edge to all the candidates.

Concisely, the visit by the Hon. MCE to the WASSCE centers at Kpone SHS was impactful and successful. It boasted the moral of the candidates and ensured that the examinations were conducted in a peaceful and orderly manner.
