KPONE TRADITIONAL COUNCIL RECEIVES GIFT PACKAGE AHEAD OF HOMOWO FESTIVAL CELEBRATION

The Greater Accra Regional Minister: Henry Quartey, on behalf of the Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) has presented some items to the Kpone Traditional Council and ten family clans.

The presentation was done on 28th August, 2022 at the forecourt of the Kpone-Katamanso Municipal Assembly as part of this year’s Homowo Festival Celebration. The items presented included castle bridge, schnapps, boxes of water, sacks of maize, gallons of palm oil, crates of Heineken and malt drinks.

During the presentation, the Municipal Chief Executive of Kpone-Katamanso Municipal Assembly (KKMA), Hon Samuel Okoe Amanquah, expressed his profound gratitude to the Kpone Traditional council and the people of Kpone for their presence. He stated that, festival celebration brings togetherness and create a sense of belongings among people in a society and Kpone is not an exception. He urged indigenes to observe this year’s festival in peace and harmony.  Hon. Amanquah used the opportunity to address the inhabitants on government dedication toward the construction of roads and supply of water in the Municipality.

Nii Ofosu Obile V,  Mankralo and the secretary to the Kpone Traditional Council who received the package on behalf of the Kpone Traditional Council and clan houses thanked the government, the regional Minister and the Assembly for generously supporting the Homowo festival celebration.

Present at the ceremony were; the Municipal Coordinating Director (MCD), Mr Joshua Adams Asihene, representatives from the Kpone Traditional Council, family members of the various clans, heads of departments, party faithfuls and the media.
