The Municipal Chief Executive of Kpone- Katamanso Municipal Assembly; Hon Samuel Okoe Amankwah from 3rd– 10th November 2021 embarked on a familiarisation visit across the municipality.

The MCE was accompanied by the Municipal Coordinator Director; Mr Michael Owusu -Amoako, the Presiding member; Mr Joseph Gbeze, some heads of Department and Unit and Constituency Executives of the New Patriotic Party.

Addressing the chiefs and elders in all the community visited Hon Amankwah emphasized that the essence of the familiarisation visit was to officially introduce himself to them and also interact and acquaint himself with the challenges facing them across the municipality.
During the visit, it was observed that poor road network, armed robbery, unemployment, lack of portable drinking water, inadequate infrastructure among others were some of the challenges facing residents within the municipality.
Hon Amankwah stressed that the peace and unity in the municipality should be maintained at all times. He also appealed to the chief and elders to assist him to develop Kpone-Katamanso by bringing their views and thought on board. Hon Amankwah also assured the chief and elders that all their challenges will be addressed in due time.

The week-long visit took the MCE and his entourage to communities such as Kubekro, Adigon, Zenu, Katamanso, Oyibi, Saasabi, Naanoman, Otinibi, Gonteng and the Kpone traditional council.

In all the places visited the MCE presented bottles of schnapps, three boxes of bottled water and two create of soft drinks to the chiefs and elders. Libation was also poured to ask for blessings from the gods for the MCE and staff of KKMA.
