DONATION OF PPEs TO KPONE MUNICIPAL HEALTH DIRECTORATE

The Kpone-Katamanso Municipal Assembly (KKMA) on Tuesday, 28th April, 2021 donated personal protective equipment (PPEs) to staff of the Municipal Health Directorate.

The items included 3 veronica buckets, 52 dustbins, 8,000 nose masks, 25 veronica stand and 1,400 hand sanitizers.

The MCE Hon. Solomon Appiah who presented the items on behalf of the Assembly said the gesture was the mark the celebration of the National Constitutional Week. Using the surge in COVID-19 cases at the Kotoka International Airport as an example, Hon. Appiah stressed that the pandemic is not over and therefore Ghanaians must put in more efforts to ensure the attainment of zero (0) COVID cases in future. The MCE emphasized that the items should be distributed to the vulnerable and used on principal compounds of the health directorate.

Dr. Dorothea Otchere-Keelson who led the delegation from the health directorate received the items on behalf of the Municipal Health Director. She thanked the Assembly for the kind gesture and assured them that the items would be used as suggested by the Assembly.

The Municipal Coordinating Director (MCD) Mr. Michael Owusu Amoako, staff members of KKMA and the media were also present at the handing over ceremony.
