COMPLEMENTARY EDUCATION AGENCY 2026 FIRST (1ST) QUARTER REPORT

  1. INTRODUCTION

The following is a comprehensive and accurate report of programme of activities undertaken within the first quarter (Jan. – Mar.) of 2026.

  1. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The 2026 First Quarter Report of activities in the Kpone-Katamanso Municipal Office of the Complementary Education Agency (CEA) included the following: – Sensitization and Education of the new mandates of the Agency, Collaborations, Partnerships, Supervision,  and Occupational Skills Training.

  1. PROGRAMMES AND ACTIVITIES
  • The queen mother of Sebrepor, Naa Sebrepor, collaborated with the CEA to train about thirty (30) women in the preparation of LIQUID SOAP.
  • National Service persons and staff of the CEA sensitized the Kpone market women and community members on our core mandates at the K-LIFE Radio Station in Kpone.
  • Effective community entry has begun earnestly to recruit learners for the English Batch 14 classes
  • The Complementary Education Agency, in collaboration with the National Commission on Civic Education and Commission on Human Rights and Administration Justice, sensitized the Bethlehem branch of The Ghana Hairdressers and Beauticians’ Association on their respective mandates and also educated them on SPOUSAL INHERITANCE.

WORKPLACE LEARNING

There was no workplace learning within the month under review.

  1. PARTNERSHIPS / COLLABORATIONS
  • Collaborations with CHRAJ, NCCE and Development Planning Departments have been very encouraging.
  • The CEA collaborated with the Commission on Human Rights & Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) to educate and sensitize the Kpone residents at the K-LIFE Radio Station on our respective core mandates.
  • The Assembly woman of the Laaloi Electoral Area, Mrs. Regina Dede Amanquah, who   

    also doubles as a former learner with the GHABA literacy class, has devoted her time   

    to advertise the CEA to the residents in her electoral area.

  • The Queen mother of Sebrepor, Naa Blema Yoo I, in collaboration with CEA, have pledged to train women in entrepreneurial skills.

ACHIEVEMENTS

  1. Education and Sensitization on the new mandates of the Complementary Education Agency (CEA)has been encouraging.
  2. Learners have developed a lot of interest in the literacy classes and the Occupational Skill Development activities.
  • Radio publicity on the mandates of the CEA is yielding positive results.
  1. Collaborations with other departments have been fruitful and encouraging.
  2. FINANCIAL REPORT
  • The KKMA disbursed the agency’s first quarter budget allocation for skill training, community engagements and supervision.
  1. CHALLENGES
  • The absence of a vehicle and motor-bikes is hindering effective supervision and monitoring.
  • Learners want start-up capital to kick-start the skill training they have been taken through.
  1. LOGISTICS AND NEEDS
  • The Office is in dire need of vehicle/motorbike for a more effective supervision due to the vast nature of the district.
  • Steel cabinet.
  1. RECOMMENDATIONS
  • I recommend the provision of a file cabinet for the office.
  • The provision of a vehicle or motor-bike to assist in supervision and monitoring is also welcome.
  • Regular release of OPC will be appreciated.
  1. CONCLUSION

The activities embarked on within the first quarter of 2026 have been successful and very encouraging though there is still more room for improvement.
