On Tuesday, 27th January 2027, the Member of Council of State for Kpone, Her Excellency Cynthia Naa Komley Adjetey, paid a working visit to the Kpone-Katamanso Municipal Assembly (KKMA). The visit was aimed at assessing ongoing development projects and interacting with municipal officials on key issues affecting the municipality.

Upon arrival, Her Excellency held a briefing session with the Municipal Coordinating Director (MCD) before embarking on inspections of selected ongoing projects within the municipality. During the briefing, she emphasized that the projects being undertaken were of significant importance to the President of the Republic, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, and aligned with the government’s development agenda. She reiterated that the Mahama-led administration remains committed to bringing sustainable development and improved living conditions to the people of the Kpone-Katamanso Municipality.

As part of the visit, Her Excellency and her delegation visited the Kpone Market to inspect the aftermath of a fire outbreak that occurred earlier in the year. She interacted with affected traders and assessed the extent of damage, expressing concern for those affected and underscoring the need for timely interventions to restore livelihoods and improve safety measures within the market.

The delegation also inspected ongoing construction works at the Kpone–Prampram Bridge, where they were briefed on the progress of the project. Her Excellency commended the efforts being made to improve critical infrastructure in the municipality and encouraged all stakeholders to ensure quality work and timely completion to enhance transportation and economic activities in the area.
The visit reaffirmed the commitment of the Council of State and central government to supporting development initiatives in the Kpone-Katamanso Municipality and strengthening collaboration with local authorities for effective service delivery.
