The Member of Parliament for the Kpone-Katamanso Constituency, Hon. Joseph Akuerteh Tettey, together with the Municipal Chief Executive for KKMA, Hon. Samuel Tetteh Kwarshie Morton, undertook a working visit to two key health-related projects within the municipality on 22nd Jan 2026 as part of efforts to strengthen healthcare delivery and monitor ongoing development initiatives.

The first activity was a working visit to the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) office currently under construction at Kpone Kokompe. During the visit, the delegation inspected the various stages of work and interacted with personnel on site to obtain firsthand information on the progress of the project. Observations made indicated that construction work is progressing steadily, with visible improvements since commencement. The team was informed that the project is within the designated timeline for completion, with no major challenges affecting progress. The MP and MCE expressed satisfaction with the pace of work and encouraged the contractor to maintain high quality standards to ensure timely delivery.
Following the inspection, the delegation proceeded to Kpoi-Ete for the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Kpoi-Ete Clinic. The ceremony marked the official commencement of work on the health facility, which is expected to improve access to primary healthcare services for residents of Kpoi-Ete and surrounding communities. In their remarks, the leaders highlighted the importance of bringing healthcare services closer to the people and reaffirmed their commitment to improving health infrastructure across the municipality.

Upon completion, both the NHIA office and the Kpoi-Ete Clinic are expected to significantly enhance healthcare administration and service delivery within the Kpone-Katamanso Municipality. The activities underscored the Assembly’s and government’s dedication to strengthening the health sector and improving the overall well-being of residents.
