STAFF DURBAR AT KKMA 2025.

A staff durbar was held on Friday, 25th July 2025, at the Kpone-Katamanso Municipal Assembly (KKMA). The event brought together personnel from various departments and units to deliberate on critical matters and strengthen internal communication.

During the durbar, Madam Zubaida, a Senior Development Planning Officer, delivered a detailed presentation on the National Anti-Corruption Action Plan (NACAP). She emphasized NACAP’s core objective of fostering collaboration among stakeholders to combat corruption. She also shed light on some of the implementation challenges and outlined key accountability mechanisms embedded in the plan to promote transparency and ethical governance.

The Municipal Coordinating Director (MCD), Mr. Mohammed Ali Amadu, addressed the Assembly on the need for departments to align their operations with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He stressed the importance of staff punctuality and proper use of the clock-in and clock-out system. Additionally, he urged staff to complete their performance appraisals in a timely manner. Mr. Amadu also expressed concern over recent incidents of theft at the premises and called for heightened vigilance among staff.

The newly appointed Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Samuel T.K. Morton, officially introduced himself to the staff and shared his vision for the future of the Assembly. He strongly condemned the theft incidents, assured staff of enhanced security measures, and, in a motivating gesture, announced a 20% salary increase for IGF staff.

During the open forum, members of staff had the opportunity to ask questions, express concerns, and offer suggestions. The concerns raised by staff were addressed by both the MCD and the MCE, promoting a culture of openness and mutual respect.

The durbar ended successfully, with management expressing appreciation for the staff’s efforts and encouraging continued commitment, discipline, and punctuality in the discharge of their duties.
