The Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty (LEAP) Program continues to play a vital role in providing social protection for vulnerable populations in Ghana. In line with efforts to enhance its effectiveness and ensures continued eligibility of beneficiaries, the LEAP Management Secretariat (LMS) is undertaking a nationwide leap Programme Reassessment.
The LEAP Management Secretariat (LMS) is partnering with the Ghana National Household Registry (GNHR) to conduct data collection exercises necessary for the reassessment. Critical stakeholders in this process includes the Metropolitan, Municipal and District Reassessment Teams (MMDRTS), LEAP Focal Persons (CFP’s).
In view of the above, two enumerators; Mr. Albert Tehoda and Ms. Vanessa Nsiah, have been officially deployed across the municipality to commence data collection under the LEAP Reassessment Programme. The reassessment programme commenced on Monday, 7th july 2025.
The enumerators were introduced to the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Hon T.K Morton and Municipal Coordinating Director(MCD) Mr. Mr. Mohammed Alidu by the Director of Social Welfare and Community Development; Madam Edna Parku before the commencement of the program.

Recognizing the importance of community awareness in ensuring a successful reassessment, the LMS representatives namely Malik Abdul Rahaman and Edith Adjoa Mensah, emphasize the need for effective sensitization campaigns. Officers at the local level, particularly CFPs, are requested to begin informing LEAP beneficiaries about the reassessment and encouraging their cooperation and participation in the data collection process.
