MCE Hon Samuel TK Morton and the Municipal Environmental Health Analyst were at B5 Company Wednesday 28th October, 2016 to ascertain the complaint made by the company on public health concerns raised as a result of the leachate, offensive odour, fly nuisance and refuse among others emanating from the landfill.
Although the landfill is being managed by TMA but both the landfill and the company are located in Kpone-katamanso municipality hence the decision to ascertain the situation and help address the issue since it borders on public health and safety.
The management of the company were hopeful that the Assembly will collaborate with the relevant stakeholders to address the situation. They thank the MCE for his continues role in addressing environmental health and sanitation concerns within the Kpone-katamanso municipality.
