The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Solomon Tettey Appiah in handing over the furniture to the Education Directorate appealed to Directors, head teachers and school children to protect the furniture to them last longer. This, according to the MCE, would enable the Assembly to do other things for the education sector. The MCE also added that although the furniture is insufficient the Assembly is willing to provide more to meet the support needed by the directorate.
The Municipal Director of Education, Mr. Harry Evans Arthur received the furniture on behalf of the directorate. He thanked the MCE and the Assembly for the kind gesture and continuous support. He gave an assurance that the furniture would be well protected to ensure that they last.
Also present at the handing over ceremony were the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Michael Owusu Amoako, officers of the Education Directorate, staff members of KKMA and the media.
