The National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) in collaboration with Ghana Education Service and Kpone Katamanso Municipal Assembly on 15th July, 2022 organized a smart Governance quiz competition at Mt. Sinai Methodist church, Kpone. This competition was among eight (8) schools, which are: Mt. Luthur King School, Michel Camp JHS, Oxford Kingdom International School, Oyibi KKMA, Accra Grammar, Hanna JHS, Prince KKMA NO.2 and Precious school.

The National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) Municipal Director, Mr. Seth Sotie welcomed all students and everybody to the smart governance quiz competition. He stated the aim of the competition as helping student know their right and responsibilities. He also enlightened contestant on the duties of National Commission For civic education in the Municipality and the nation at large. He added that the smart governance quiz is organized annually and therefore student must put in much effort in knowing the 1992 constitution.

Standing in for the Director for Ghana Education service, Madam Millicent Ceaser, of the Municipal Education Directorate encouraged students to understand and learn the constitution very well. She as well inspired all contestants to relax and answer the questions well. She ended with a quote “Train up a child the way he should go and when he grows, he will not depart from it”

The competition started beautifully and ended successfully. Accra Grammar school at the end of the competition won the grand prize with 37 point; Praise KKMA took the second position followed by Mt. Luthur King School.

Mr. Seth Sotie in his closing remarks thanked and expressed his sincere gratitude to the students, teachers, Ghana Education Service, the Zonal Council, Staff and the companies that supported the program.
