The National Youth Authority (NYA) is a government department that has the mandate to coordinate the activities of the Ghanaian youth.
The National Youth Authority of the Kpone-Katamanso Municipal on the 26th August, 2021 coordinated a zonal quiz competition program among four schools at the Mount Sinai Methodist church. Each school was represented by two students. The Noble Kids Academy School was represented by Alhassan Nasara and Gifty S. Baah, Goodman Oko Abossey and Prince Nyanor represented Appolonia JHS. Haanaa Basic School was represented by Abednego Mensah and Ezekial Abaka whilst Francisca Anyakor and Leslie Nii Quartey Quartei represented Bawaleshi Basic School.

The Director of the National Youth Authority (NYA); Mrs Janice Anaman-Mensah in her key note address said that the purpose of the quiz competition was to rejuvenate the spirit of learning in the youth within the municipality and also provide a platform for pupils to increase access to basic education skills training and competition. Mrs Anaman-Mensah further explained to the pupils that competition awaits them in all areas of life such as work, home, school, church or even relationship. She urged pupils present at the program to see education as an important element in reaching their goals and aspirations in life. Mrs Anaman-Mensah used the opportunity to express her gratitude to all teachers for the profound roles they play to impart knowledge as well as ensure that pupils excel in their studies at all times.

At the end of the program, Appolonia JHS emerged as the winner. Each contestants who represented the school were presented with a certificate of participation, a cash prize of GH₵150.00 to buy text books of their choice, foolscap note books, twenty (20) exercise books and mathematical set. The school received certificate for first position, a cash prize of Gh₵ 250.00, box of pens and others.

Bawaleshi Basic School took the second position whilst the third and fourth positions were taken by Haanaa Basic School and Noble Kids Academy respectively.
