The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Kpone-Katamanso Municipality, Hon Samuel Oko Amanquah on 15th September, 2022 handed over 240 pieces of furniture to the Kpone- Katamanso Municipal Education Directorate to enhance teaching and learning in the area (Municipality).
The furniture comprised of 120 wooden dual desks and 300 steel dual desks for distribution to six selected schools within the Municipality.

The beneficiary schools included; Kpone Methodist ‘A’ basic school, Kpone Methodist ‘B’ basic school, Kpone Presby basic ‘A’ and Kpone Presby basic ‘B’. The rest were Haanaa KKMA basic school and Glorious KKMA basic.
At a short ceremony at the KKMA office complex to hand over the furniture to the schools through the Kpone-Katamanso Education Directorate, the MCE said the gesture formed part of government’s vision to provide conducive environment for teaching and learning. Honourable Amanquah assured the education directorate that many furniture will be donated in the near future to solve the furniture deficit in schools within the Municipality.
Mr Evans Harry Arthur, the Municipal Director of Education who received the furniture on behalf of the beneficiary schools expressed his gratitude to the MCE and government for their support. He as well assured the MCE of regular maintenance of the furniture in order to serve the purpose of the donation. He pleaded with the Assembly to provide more furniture to assist in teaching and learning.
