The ‘operation clean your frontage’ initiative was launched in the Kpone-Katamanso Municipality on 11th January 2022 at Zenu.
The Municipal Chief Executive; Hon Samuel Okoe Amanquah in his keynote explained to the audience at the launching program that, the operation clean your frontage is an initiative led by the government in line with ensuring that our environment and surroundings are kept clean at all times. Hon Amanquah further explained that, the Assembly has power to prosecute residents who fail to comply with the bye-laws of the Assembly on ensuring that residential, commercial and private buildings are kept clean at all times. He added that, everybody has a part to play to make the initiative work.

The Member of Parliament for Kpone-Katamanso constituency; Hon Joseph Akueteh Tettey for his part commended the government for such an initiative and urged the Municipal Assembly to intensify sensitization on operation clean your frontage. Hon Tettey also encouraged all residents within the Municipality to spread the message and also be part in making it successful.

A representative from the Zenu Divisional Council, Prince Agyei-Mensah entreated residents to ensure that their surroundings are kept neat at all times, because the Zenu Divisional Council would not plead for offenders.

The ‘operation clean your frontage’ is an initiative by the Greater Accra Regional Minister to make it obligatory for all Ghanaians within the Greater Accra Region to take charge of their immediate frontage by sweeping, distilling drains /gutters as well as greening the environment.
The launching program was graced by dignitaries such as the Presiding member; Hon Joseph Gbeze, the Municipal Coordinating Director; Mr. Michael Owusu Amoako, elders of the Zenu divisional council, land lords associations, market women association, religious leaders, Assembly members, government appointees, representatives of the regional minister and the media.
