The Kpone-Katamanso Municipal Assembly (KKMA) joined other MMDAs to embark on a float to sensitise residents on ‘operation clean your frontage’ on 1st February, 2022. The program was carried out throughout the 4 zonal councils within the municipality.

The campaign was aimed at creating massive public awareness on the ‘operation clean your frontage’ initiative. As early as 6:00am staff members of KKMA, NABCO personnel, national service personnel, traditional leaders and Assembly members were neatly dressed in their operation clean your frontage T-shirts to participate in the nationwide public education.
The campaign team led by the MCE; Hon Samuel Okoe Amanquah visited the Kpone and Kamberg zonal areas to sensitised residents on the need to keep the frontage/surroundings of their homes, workplaces, and market places clean at all times. Residents were also educated on the Assembly’s bye laws on sanitation. Hon Amanquah explained that residents who violate the Assembly’s bye laws will be prosecuted by paying a fine, being imprisoned or both.

As part of the program, there was sweeping, weeding and desilting of choked gutters in all the communities in the various electoral areas. Flyers on the initiative were also distributed to drivers, market women, hawkers, shop owners and the general public.
